Love my new custom 6'9 HP Slam. The tip is perfection for straight tail baits and small paddle tails. It really shines using it for slinging a medium topwater as well. Hard to beat paired with a Shimano Tranx 150. Jimmy and crew do a great job on these builds.
The HP Slam is my go-to for fast twitching plastics like the Coastal Brew Dart, Down South Big Smooth, and Southern Salt Hoodwink. Super sensitive and plenty of backbone to boot! You can't go wrong with the HP Slam! 6'9" Casting
The HP Slam is by far the best plastic rod I've ever fished. You can feel everything with it, and it still has good back bone for when you hook into those larger fish. P.S. this rod is also a great topwater rod if you like to throw a topwater.
