Designed for an avid light-weight artificial fisherman looking for a high-level of sensitivity. Built on an incredibly sensitive and strong blank with a medium extra fast tip, this rod is suitable for 1/8 - 3/4 ounce weights and 8 - 14 lb line. The Carbon Mag falls between the Slam Mag and the Ultra Mag and consists of the 3M nano-silica resign system that allows us to use less material without losing strength.

This is my second and third carbon mag I love it very sensitive tip to feel those soft trout baits and a great backbone to horse in reds. I will be buying one more for wading. It is my do all rod and the best rod on the market

The second I picked up the carbon mag in the store it felt like a Ferrari compared to any rod I have ever held. The accuracy is off the charts and look forward to many years of fishing! Worth every penny!
Do yourself a favor and just BUY ONE! The Waterloo Carbon Mag is top of the line as far as custom inshore rods go. Feather light, perfectly balanced. I can sling this thing all day. This is my 7th Waterloo rod and my first Carbon Mag. I went with 6’9” casting split grip with the Fuji guides. Light enough to throw all day without wearing out your wrist, but plenty of backbone to drag in a big red. I will order another carbon mag in the 6’6” casting size for wading. Awesome rod.
Works great
My go-to rod for larger topwaters and Corky's. Lots of backbone to boot as well! Landed a 38" Jack recently no problem and handles those overslot reds with ease.
The best Waterloo rod in my arsenal for the fishing I do. Top waters to 1/8oz tails is all in a days work for a Carbon Mag!

My 2nd Carbon Mag from Waterloo. The 6’ 9” spinning rod was a purchase for my wife. I have the 6’ 6” Carbon Mag casting rod for wading. Best designed fishing rods I’ve ever owned! Ultra sensitive, strong, and light. Nothing else I own for inshore Texas Gulf Coast fishing compares. I paired the spinning rod with the 2500 Shimano Stradic, and casting rod with the Shimano Tranx 150 HG. The sensitivity allows you to work soft plastics as if you can see them swim in a clear pool, and there is zero doubt when you get a hit. Game Changer!
