2008 Bash Tournament Rules
1. Teams can weigh-in 3 Trout per day, minimum 20” length. A ½ lb. deduction (8 oz.) will be given for each DEAD fish weighed in. No more than one Trout over 25” per angler may be weighed in each day. Any team bringing in more than two trout over 25” per day will be disqualified from the tournament. No exceptions.
2. The weigh master will have the final say on eligibility of any fish brought in to weigh.
3. All teams must check in each morning before leaving the dock and must leave in the order drawn by that team. If you do not check in, you will be disqualified. If you are late for your starting position, you will be moved to the end of the line. No Exceptions.
4. State and Federal Parks and Wildlife regulations will apply at all times.
5. All teams must leave from specified dock, by boat, and return to the specified dock, by boat, for weigh-in. Trailering your boat during tournament fishing hours is not allowed.
6. Both tournament anglers must be wearing a life jacket when the big motor is operating.
7. This is an INSHORE tournament therefore, you are not allowed to fish outside the jetties.
8. Teams must fish in public waters accessible to public fishermen.
9. Each team will consist of two team members and only the team members are allowed on the boat during fishing hours.
10. This is an ARTIFICIAL LURE only tournament.
11. Weigh-in times are Saturday at 4:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM. You must check your team Number in by the specified time each day. No Exceptions.
12. Any protests must be filed, orally or in writing, with the tournament director by the end of weigh- in each day.
13. There will be a 100 yard rule between tournament boats, unless waived in.
14. Team members must remain within eye sight of their partner at all times.
15. All boats must fly the tournament flag provided to each team at the captains meeting.
16. Once your team is in line for weigh-in, there will be no culling or sorting of fish.
17. Mutilated, or old fish will not be weighed-in. Team will be disqualified.
Boundaries
POC – North: East Matagorda Bay; South: Carlos Bay. Spalding and St. Charles are legal.
Rockport – North: Panther Reef; South: JFK Causeway
Baffin – North: Aransas Shrimp Channel; South: Land Cut (cannot break out of Land Cut)
